Born in Iran in 1999, Yalda Jahangiri began her musical journey by learning piano at age 10 in Neyshabour her home town. She continued her studies in this field with Arpineh Israyelian at the University of Tehran and got BM in piano performance there. During her time at university, she developed a passion for composing and delved into the study of music theory and harmony analysis with Sarah Abazari, Azin Movahed, and Masoud Ebrahimi. She then pursued composition classes with Karen Keyhani in 2022 where she honed her skills in creating contemporary acoustic music. Late that summer she attended in work shop for contemporary composing with Ardavan Vossoughi and continued her musical studies with him. Her compositions include solo works and ensembles for a variety of instruments. Since then, she is passionate about contemporary composing, one of her last works for Bariton Saxophone and Contrabass accepted in Seyr call for scores in summer 2023. In fall 2023 she has been selected at Horizon Étendu academy worked with Jean-Luc Hervé and Idin Samimimofakham.
